Minecraft is a sandbox game with extremely high freedom, allowing players to explore and create freely within the vast blocky world. The game features a very powerful final boss called the Ender Dragon, a black dragon that circles above the End. For most players, challenging it is one of their ultimate goals. But do you really know the Ender Dragon? Today, we’re bringing you several obscure facts about the Ender Dragon – see how many you know.
Peaceful Mode

The Ender Dragon is exceptionally powerful; it does not disappear even when Peaceful mode is activated. Furthermore, the Ender Dragon has a strong hostility towards players. In Peaceful mode, although it cannot directly attack players with its body, it can still breathe dragon’s breath to inflict damage.
Unique

The Ender Dragon is a very unique entity. Players cannot name it using a name tag, nor can they enter its perspective using Spectator mode.
Resurrection

The game developers stated that if players could completely defeat it, the game would be too easy. Therefore, the Ender Dragon is designed to be resurrectable. Players simply need to place one end crystal on each side of the exit portal to resurrect the Ender Dragon and fight it again.
Experience

The Ender Dragon drops the most experience of any creature in the game. Defeating it yields a whopping 12,000 experience points, enough to take a player from level 0 all the way to level 68. However, this can only be obtained once; a resurrected Ender Dragon only drops 500 experience. So don’t think about using it to farm experience.
Overworld

If you summon an Ender Dragon in the Overworld, it will fly to the center of the map (0, Y, 0) and circle there indefinitely, as if it were still in the End.
Gender

Believe it or not, the overlord of the End and the ultimate goal of players, the Ender Dragon, is actually female. And she even has a very cute name: “Jean.” This information comes directly from the game developers.
